Accommodation

After you’ve taken the time to explore our Ha Giang Loop trips, you’ve probably developed a fondness for us to consider this section on accommodation and dining. We truly appreciate your interest. In this part, there may be no need for a lengthy description, as we have already taken quite a bit of your time. First, let me acknowledge that the dining and accommodation services in Ha Giang are not yet diverse or refined to the highest possible level. While Ha Giang does have some high-class resorts and interesting restaurants, their numbers are still limited.

Moreover, even the number of basic accommodation and restaurant services is insufficient during the peak tourism season. However, here you will have the chance to experience something truly special and local, such as staying in a beautiful village that hasn’t been commercialized for tourism, still preserving its ancient and simple charm close to nature. Nevertheless, with our experience and dedication, we will always strive to prepare for your trip with the hotels, homestays, and restaurants we trust the most. These options include traditional stilt houses made of wood and bamboo, with palm leaf or yin-yang tile roofs, or Trinh Tuong houses—a type of traditional house made from densely compressed clay, capable of withstanding decades of rain, wind, and harsh climates. These houses have been renovated to suit tourism and accommodation services, such as being decorated in the local style with handicrafts and brocade, adding extra blankets and mattresses, and creating privacy by dividing the open floor space with soft curtains or solid wooden partitions. Additionally, bathrooms (with hot water) and toilets are provided, along with wooden rooms with doors for privacy. We also offer bungalows for customers who prefer more privacy and comfort.

We will eat, drink, and participate in wonderful group activities together. Although there might be some issues due to objective factors that could prevent your absolute satisfaction—such as mosquitoes during the rainy season (we will provide mosquito nets), the sounds of frogs and insects at night, or the communal living spaces not being entirely windproof during the winter (but we will always have a fire going)—we hope you understand that these are part of the traditions and adaptations passed down through generations of the local people. We ask for your understanding and patience. We sincerely apologize if your accommodation experience is less than perfect due to these objective factors.

In urban areas, we will offer hostels and hotels in central locations for easy access to activities such as night markets, street food, entertainment with alcoholic beverages and music, or relaxing massages. The urban accommodations we select will also be clean, friendly, and well-equipped, with air conditioning and, in some cases, electric blankets—similar to a hot stone massage machine that provides excellent warmth and comfort throughout the night during winter, helping you recover energy and soothe your muscles, bones, and joints after a long day of motorbike riding in the cold.

Additionally, we offer extensions and customizations according to your preferences, such as staying in local homes that don’t engage in tourism, as well as resorts, ecolodges, and luxurious hotels. Please let us know your suggestions so we can help you have the perfect trip.
